Costs around 5 dollars. I guess its the reason that its so concentrated. Warning: Too much of hot choco at cafe bene will kill you in long term.

I got mine finally after working for the whole summer! I love it a lot. Its very fast and I love the music quality. The music quality is a bit better than the ipod touch I would argue.

JK Just wanted to rant before school starts. But seriously, I don't get the point of blogging haha

Left for America

So its good bye again. haha eventually, everything comes to an end for me. Well, the good thing is I made few nice friends during work. I gave gifts and got some too :) haha I got to stop giving stuff. It costs a lot of $$$. 

Packing is always messy. Take stuff out and put them in like a small luggage. 

I usually don't pack that much clothes. Instead I pack food... I think that took up like a luggage and half.

I brought a lot of choco hiem. Apparently, all my asian roommates love them. So I had to pack extras.

When traveling sea weed is a must. Its light and tasty. Although not a lot of foreigners like them, Koreans and Japanese people can't live without them.

Soboru pang. Soboru is actually a Japanese name, but Soboru pang doesn't exist in Japan.

I call it the melon pang of Korea. Melon pang and soboru pang are pretty much the same, except for the taste. Melon pang has a melon scent.

Dried squid is pretty good to have.  Koreans love dried squid. Like again, a lot of foreigners don't like the idea of eating squid. haha When I was little and went to an American kindergarten, my teacher freaked out when I told her my favorite food is dried squid.

Korea is pretty good at making cakes.

Chestnuts! A really healthy snack.

ABC chocolate is like a brand I used to eat when I was really young. Still love it.

Some stuff to make broth when I cook. 

I brought some hair dye. My hair is natural brown, but I want to make it a bit lighter. 

This is something you put in water or milk and shake. 

Its healthy because its basically, grains minced in to powder. 

I paid quite a bit in buying these stuff. Suppose to last me a year... 

Going to Gyeongju in Korea

I went to Gyeonju this summer break. It took us 4 hours just to get there, but it was worth it. During our train ride, we saw a lot of farm land, the rural parts of Korea. It looked pretty amazing because of mountain covering the village and farmland. But, it got a bit boring after a while because, even in different regions they had pretty much the same views >.<

 We finally reached the Gyeonju station. I was very happy that I made it alive. The weather was nice. It was really cool, well almost cold.

 I saw an onion and potato truck. I thought it was interesting. A kid next to me on the bus was laughing at me  for taking pictures of weird stuff though. :(

 So first stop was inside a grave. I'm not going to be detailed about Gyeonju because wikipedia gives a very good description of Gyeongju. I'm just going to explain what I have experienced. So, in Gyeonju, there are very big graves. The graves are size of little hills that we would normally go up and roll down. I've got to go inside one of these graves. Of course I saw a dead body as well as his belongings. It was pretty cool. It was even cooler to watch people speaking different languages explaining the history of this grave. A lot of foreign tourists.

On the way out, we went through a forest of pine trees. None of them were straight. (its a joke)

So, more graves. One day I'll be cursed for attempting to roll down the grave. I mean its like the perfect hill! Just a side note, in old days, the larger the hill, I mean grave, was the more important the person was.

 I saw the tower where our old Koreans used to look at stars. Actually its not as big as you think it is. Apparently Koreans were very short in the past.

 Gyeongju has really nice flowers. This was only few parts of Gyeongju. Flowers are everywhere. So I guess I'll advise you to visit Gyeongju in the summer.

 This place is where kings played with girls and drank their rice wines. Its really pretty.

Soondobu soup is really famous in Gyeonju. Its a must have there. I got mine and it was really delicious. Yumm!

Bulgoksa is really well built. I've been here before but every time I go back, it still amaze me.

 Stairs to heaven jk. It was the stairs connecting to sukgulam.

This bell has a myth. Basically, to make a nice sound, monks had to sacrifice a child by throwing it in hot iron . It problem doesn't make sense but its the story told.

If your visiting Korea and want to see the historical parts of Korea. I'll say go to Gyeongju. Its really the best tourist attraction in Korea. Everything is laid out so perfectly that you can't get lost. Even a lot of Koreans visit Gyeongju for school trips and dates.

Yeosu Expo 2012

So lets get back to Korean stories. Brighten the blog a bit. Again sorry readers, I've been having an emotional melt down, well still am but whatever. So my dad got some free tickets to the Yeosu Expo. Was pretty excited at first, but then didn't want to go because the Korean news told their viewers about how crowded it was. Plus, I was sad. Looking at things didn't really make me happy. Still my sister dragged me along. I guess I'm glad she did?haha In the end, I still get to say I did do something during the summer.

This is the entrance of the yeosu expo. It was as crowded as I expected it to be because I was there on a Monday when everyone works. Hurray for early breaks for American schools.   

Yeosu expo had a lot of expo booths from different parts of the world. I've visited the Indian, Russian, Poland, just to name a few. I had some food from the Indian and Russian expo. The cocktail was actually horrible. I'm not good with alcohol but I still drink sometimes. I got the curry from the Indian booth. It reminded me of the chicken curry in Malaysia. Had to have some. It was ok. I'm a picky eater I guess. haha I'm picky at being happy, I'm picky eater, such a bad person :)

I also had unlimited 게장. gae jang is basically seasoned raw crabs. The raw crab meat is really amazing. It was my favorite food. I think it still is but its pretty expensive. However, in yeosu, it was pretty cheap. 8 dollars and you get unlimited amount of gaejang. Yumm!

I watch few shows. I liked them dancing. They were super cool. I still can't believe how well they danced. haha Its kind of mean but the guy wearing the dress was pretty ugly. I wonder where they found these people. I thought they only existed in middle ages. The Koreans even had a giant wooden doll. It actually moved and all.

I watched the fountain show. I've seen the Singaporean fountain show and if I compare it to the Yeosu show. I'll say the Singaporean fountain show has more content and story. The Yeosu expo owns the Singaporean fountain show in terms of scale and fanciness. Just look at the pictures I got from the fountain show. I'm still an amateur photographer. To be honest, I just use auto settings :). I just take like a billions of photos, so I can pick few good ones. haha

I've also went to the aquarium and the temperature house? The aquarium was decent. Korea doesn't have great aquarium so the one at yeosu was pretty decent. I do have photos but, I'll post them up sometime later. The temperature house was fun. It basically is a freezer. We were able to experience the temperature of the north and south poles. I wanted to stay and make an igloo, but I had to leave :( It was still fun. Me and my sis had some coffee and cake and then went back home! 4 hours drive pew.
